The Merritt Curling Centre is proud to offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. We have leagues suitable for recreational players and others that would be appropriate for a competttive athlete. Whether you are young, old, or somewhere if you’re young, old or somewhere in-between, we are sure to have a league right for you.
We are introducing an all-inclusive-fee this year for those who want to play in more than one league--$545 will allow you to curl in as many leagues as you wish.

Monday Daytime Open
Our daytime leagues are very popular. Curlers of any age and skill level are welcome. Teams of 4 are created by the league coordinator. You’re encouraged to join everyone after the game for cookies and beverages.
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Full Season: $307.00 (includes GST, membership, Curl BC, and Curl Canada fees)
Half season: $225.00 (includes GST, membership, Curl BC, and Curl Canada fees)
Monday Night- Mixed Curling
This is a recreational league. Teams are composed of four players, with a minimum 1 female and 1 male per team. You can join as a team or an individual.

Open Doubles teams have two members of any gender. You can register as an individual or a team. This exciting format involves six rocks per end per team, with one rock per team being placed in designated spots before play begins. The Rules of play can be found here.

Curlers register as individuals and will be placed on a 4-person team (no pre-assigned teams). Games will be six ends (rather than the traditional eight ends) which allows for a game to be played in 90 minutes.
Time: 6:30 - 8:00
Full season (three 5-week sessions): $238.75
One Session: $139
Additional sessions (or if registered in another league): $57.75
Friday Social Nov 13 - Dec 18
This is the perfect league for new curlers and those who cannot commit to a full season. Choose any or all of the 5-week sessions. Curlers register as individuals and will be placed on a 4-person team (no pre-assigned teams). Games will be six ends (rather than the traditional eight ends) which allows for a game to be played in 90 minutes.

Sunday Triples Oct-Dec session
Triples Curling is an exciting discipline developed by Curling Canada. As its name suggests, curlers (any gender) compete in teams of 3 when playing Triples. It’s a great way for everyone to learn different positions. All ends consist of 6 rocks thrown per team, with each player throwing 2 rocks. After each two ends, the players change positions on the team (e.g., lead becomes second, second becomes skip, and skip becomes lead). Points are awarded to the team that wins each set of 2 ends (2 points for the first and second sets, and 4 points for the final set). Register as a team or an individual. Choose between the Oct-Dec or Jan-Mar (each session is 10 weeks).

The Blizzard curling program is a skill-building program for youth ages 9 to 12. The program features six levels of assessment and badges. It runs on Mondays from Oct 19-Nov 23 and Jan 4-Feb 8.
Participants will learn the basics of safety, sportsmanship, rules, rock delivery, balance, sweeping and basic strategy. As their skills improve, we move them into intermediate and advanced groups as well as game situations. Placement is based on skill level rather than age.
Ages 9-12 (born on or after January 1, 2014) from 3:30 to 4.30 pm.
Full Season: Ages 9-12 - $141.75 (includes GST and membership)
Monday Junior Program 9-12 - 6 weeks - half season
